The buttocks are a part of the body that has had a lot of attention lately. Whether it is a photograph in a magazine or a shapely actress or entertainer, the buttocks are a part of the body where great shape matters.
However, the buttocks are not easily enlarged by weight training or diet. Individuals who wish to enlarge, lift, and shape the buttock mounds have two main procedures available to them – buttock implants or our Brazilian butt lift in New Jersey.
At Associates in Plastic Surgery, our plastic surgeons have decades of experience in buttock augmentation and can help you love your new backside.
A physician at Associates in Plastic Surgery would be pleased to discuss options for enhancing your buttocks during an initial consultation. Please call 732-548-3200 today.
There are several reasons that you would want to consider a buttock augmentation. The most important factor is that you desire to change your backside for yourself and your confidence. Buttock augmentation is a big decision and will require some recovery time, so it’s not something to rush into.
You would be ideal for buttock augmentation if the following are true about you:
The NJ Brazilian butt lift has gained significantly in popularity over the last few years. This is mainly because the procedure is easier to go through than buttock implants and can be enhanced as time goes on.
The Brazilian butt lift starts with a liposuction procedure. The waistline and hips are contoured to harvest fat and better sculpt and shape the areas around the buttocks. Then the harvested fat is processed and re-injected back into the buttocks to add more volume. The remaining fat is frozen and can be used for injections at a later date should you desire them.
Our Brazilian butt lift in New Jersey is very desirable because of the fact that the added volume comes from your own fat. This means that the Brazilian butt lift offers the following benefits:
During recovery, a little bruising and swelling are to be expected, but since the incision is tiny, recovery should be no more than 7-10 days. While some of the fat can be reabsorbed, much of the fat can remain and develop a blood supply. As the repeat fat injections are carried out, more and more fat remains with each injection. Once the injected fat develops a blood supply, a long-lasting result can be seen.
Buttock implant surgery is a little more involved than the Brazilian butt lift, but patients like the significant and long-lasting results that can be achieved.
The preoperative consultation is vitally important because our surgeons must examine and discuss both the position and size of the implants that you’re interested in. That way, the result can be both optimal for your desires and natural-appearing at the same time.
During your NJ Brazilian butt lift, a 2-3-inch incision is made between the buttocks in the midline. The buttock muscle is lifted and a pocket is made just large enough for the implant. The implant is then inserted and the other side is completed. After inspecting for symmetry, the incisions are closed with fine, dissolving sutures followed by taping for further support.
During recovery, the dressing needs to stay dry for two weeks and pressure should not be placed on the butt during this time. Strenuous activity should be avoided for one month.
The incisions will be somewhat firm and pink for a few weeks, but will fade over the next several months. The benefit is that once the implants are well healed in place, the results will last.

View GalleryThe Buttock Threadlift is a quick and simple procedure that can be done while the patient is awake. Under local anesthesia, long stitches are placed through a tiny incision on each side that grab the buttock tissue and lift it up.
After three months, the small incision can be reopened and the stitches tightened further to provide a long-term result. Recovery and pain are minimal after this procedure.
After any type of NJ buttock augmentation, you will need to follow post-operative instructions from our plastic surgeons. These instructions are to ensure that you react well to the implants or injections you received, but also to make sure that your butt retains the shape that was crafted for it.
