Candidates

Any individual who is dissatisfied with the results of a previous facelift is welcome to consider a revision facelift. Dissatisfaction usually stems from issues like skin laxity, asymmetry, or a lack of longevity with results; however, each patient’s reasons differ. All prospective candidates should be in good overall health and have realistic expectations. Preparation

Preparing for a revision facelift will be similar to the process you underwent while preparing for your initial facelift. You will likely need to cease certain medications and supplements, especially those with blood-thinning properties, as well as nicotine and alcohol. We also ask that you arrange assistance and transportation home. Preparation instructions may vary for each patient depending on the specifics of their revision and their medical history, so please closely follow all instructions Dr. Miller provides.

Procedure

For your comfort during your surgery, you will receive general anesthesia or sedation with a local anesthetic. Dr. Miller will make incisions to gain access to your underlying facial tissues. These incisions often follow the scars left by the original procedure, but in some cases, he may make new ones behind the ears, along the scalp, or elsewhere.
