About Motiva Breast Implants

In my experience, Motiva breast implants represent a paradigm shift in aesthetic technology. We have chosen to offer them at our practice because they go beyond traditional silicone implants to provide a bio-engineered solution that prioritizes harmony with the female body. Unlike the older textured implants I have worked with in the past, Motiva utilizes SmoothSilk technology. I approach each personal consultation as a collaboration with my patient. Each case is unique, and it is essential that I earn your trust and learn about your medical history and aesthetic goals so that we can plan the most successful surgical path. I will also perform a thorough physical evaluation, assessing your skin quality, chest width, and present breast volume and symmetry to help inform my recommendations for your Motiva implants. I will answer all of your questions and explain the procedure, recovery process, and anticipated outcome in detail. By the end of your visit, you will have a clear, customized treatment plan and a deep understanding of what to expect from your transformation.

Preparation

In order to ensure a safe procedure and smooth recovery, I will provide you with detailed preparation instructions well in advance of your surgery date. Some general guidelines include:

  • Stop smoking six weeks prior to surgery.
  • Suspend the use of blood-thinning medications and supplements.
  • Abstain from alcohol consumption.
  • Fill all necessary prescriptions in advance.
  • Arrange for a trusted adult to drive you home and assist you for the first 24-48 hours.
  • Prepare a comfortable recovery area with easy access to pillows and essentials.

Procedure

I perform Motiva breast augmentation as an outpatient procedure under general anesthesia to ensure your comfort. I will start by creating small, strategic incisions, typically in the inframammary fold or around the edge of the areola, to minimize visible scarring. Through these incisions, I will create a pocket either above or below the pectoral muscle, or using a dual approach. I will then carefully insert and adjust the Motiva implants to achieve optimal symmetry and desired projection. Finally, I will close the incisions with fine sutures, clean the area, and fit you with a supportive surgical bra. The entire procedure typically takes one to two hours.

Recovery

In the initial days of recovery, you may experience some swelling, bruising, and soreness. I will provide pain relief strategies and require you to wear your surgical compression bra to minimize swelling and support your new contours. Rest is essential; refrain from sleeping on your stomach or putting any pressure on your chest.

You will need to attend all follow-up appointments so I can monitor your progress and answer any questions you may have. Most of my patients feel comfortable returning to light work and activities after the first or second week, but it is important that you refrain from heavy lifting and more strenuous activities for 4-6 weeks or until I provide you with clearance.

Results

While you will immediately notice enhanced breast volume and a more flattering figure, the final results of your Motiva breast augmentation will continue to develop over a few months as residual swelling resolves. Once your implants fully settle into position and the surrounding tissues heal, you will enjoy soft, authentic curves and movement and a revitalized shape and fullness to your breasts. Many of my patients experience a renewed sense of self-confidence, as well as a satisfaction in the knowledge that their new enhancements will last for many years to come.

Will my Motiva implants look and feel natural?

Yes. Motiva’s ProgressiveGel is designed to mimic the movement and feel of natural breast tissue. The Ergonomix variety is especially adept at changing shape along with your body’s movements for soft authenticity.

How long do Motiva breast implants last?

While no breast implant is a lifetime device, Motiva implants are exceptionally durable. Most patients enjoy their results for 10 to 20 years before requiring a revision or replacement.

Is breastfeeding possible with Motiva implants?

In most cases, yes. I use strategic surgical techniques that preserve the nipple ducts and nerves, minimizing interference with your future ability to breastfeed. We can discuss this more during your consultation.
